Volunteer Support

We work with ex-residents and others to work with us to enhance the services we provide.

An example of this is the setting up an IT department which is available to help residents improve their IT skills in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Support can be given for those who require a beginner’s introduction or need more advanced instruction.

We use volunteers to help support a number of fundraising ideas and means by which we can seek donations of items that may prove useful to residents, including when they take up their independence once more.

We also use volunteer support to help residents during the first few weeks after leaving Wytham Hall. Often residents feel anxious over moving to their own accommodation. The volunteer is able to use their experience to help allay any fears and support with the practical issues of moving.

Volunteers are able to support residents to access suitable volunteering opportunities as well as links to other supporting organisations.
